Calf Implants

This aesthetic procedure is often done on patients who exhibit very little development in the muscles of their calves. Both men and women undertake calf augmentation when they feel that their calves do not fit in proportion to the rest of their body.

This procedure is done under local anesthesia; the doctor will make a small incision over the knee and place gel or silicone implants that will augment the size and shape of the calf. The operation is relatively simple and the patient will have to use compressing bandages for about a week after. Most patients restart their regular exercise regimen about a month after the procedure.
